Interlaken Youth Hostel

Excellent location, helpful staff, brand new and well-designed hostel, easy check-in process, spacious and clean room, comfortable bed.

We had an amazing stay at the hostel! The view from our room was amazing. We could see the majestic mountains right from our window. The location of the hotel was ideal, just a short 3-5 minute walk from the train station. This made it convenient for us to explore the surrounding areas. We also felt safe walking around, even at night. The staff at the hotel were accommodating and friendly, made our stay even better. The hotel facilities were clean and well-maintained. The breakfast provided had a good variety of options and was a great way to start our day. We were also given a free bus ticket, a nice bonus and helped us save money on transportation within this city.

Can't fault anything about it.

We were a big group of friends and we loved the huge and immaculately clean rooms at this hostel. the location was excellent, right next to the railway station, making it easy for us to move around. the breakfast buffet offered a great variety of fresh food and the cafeteria on the ground floor was also popular with the locals. the hostel staff, especially the receptionists, were beautiful, kind, and always helpful. They even gave us a little chocolate treat upon checkout. it was a perfect stay!

Temperature control was off.

The rooms, showers, and bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. The breakfast provides a variety of options to choose from.

There could be better signage in the hostel to help guests navigate and find facilities such as the TV room, toilets, and showers.

I recently stayed at a budget-friendly hotel that was conveniently located next to Interlaken OST train station. The hotel was clean and offered a restaurant with reasonably-priced meals. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service. Additionally, the hotel gave us a free bus ticket to use within the area, saving us money on parking fees.

Limited wifi access.

The location of this hotel was fantastic, right next to the train/bus station and a big supermarket. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the common room for dining was nice. The rooms were basic but clean and spacious, and we had our own private toilet/bathroom. Plus, they had washing machines and dryers available for laundry.

The beds and pillows were very basic and not very comfortable. Like most hostels, you had to set up your own bed, which was a bit of a hassle.

Great value meal. The evening meal at the Youth Hostel was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and the location near the Ost railway station was convenient for exploring.

The location of the hostel was really convenient, it was just a short walk from the train station and there were plenty of supermarkets, shops, and restaurants nearby. Plus, the hostel provided us with a card for free use of public transport in the area, which made it even easier to explore. the staff at the hostel were super friendly and helpful, they spoke multiple languages and were able to answer all our questions.

That the beds could have been more comfortable, the bedsheets were a little rough and not the nicest thing to sleep on. it was a bit of a hassle to have to remove the bed linens from our room and put them in the laundry basket at check-out.

Great Location: The hostel is conveniently located near the train station and a supermarket, making it easy to explore the city and buy groceries. The proximity to the boat pier to lake Brienz was also a bonus.

Price: The price of the hostel was quite high, especially considering the value provided. While it's understandable that Switzerland can be expensive, the price did not match the overall experience.
